Below the itinerary of your 3 Days:
Day 1 - Chiang Rai - Hall of Opium
Lunch / Dinner
We will be picked up in Chiang Rai and transferred to the Golden Triangle area. You will do the check in and then grab your bike and start the journey to the Golden Triangle. The first step of this trip will be a scenic loop through the countryside, with a visit to local rice mills and makers of the local liquor “Lao Cao”.
Ride: 28 km
Hotel: Imperial Golden Triangle.
Day 2 – Follow Mekong River to Chiang Khong
Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner
The day will start with a visit to the Opium Museum, which explains the story of the opium cultivation and its effect on society.
Then, you will take a shuttle to the Golden Buddha near the village of Ban Saeo. From there, you will start your ride of the day. You will follow the Mekong, riding east from Chiang Saen towards Chiang Khong through plantations of banana, chilli, lychee, eggplant, corn and more. You will have a riverside lunch at a local restaurant where most of the vegetables are grown by the owner. After a few more kilometres you will have the choice to either get in the van or try the challenging 2-km climb to Huai Sai Man viewpoint.
For your night, you will sleep at a lodge right in the middle of a Hmong village.
After checking in, you will have tea with the shaman and learn some Hmong customs. There will ll also be an option to help villagers plant trees at the Herbal Plant Nursery Project with a small fee.

Day 3 – Ride west to Chiang Rai
Breakfast / Lunch
This last day will be time to complete the loop and ride towards Chiang Rai. You will start cycling towards west and ride on small country roads, between fields and karsts jutting out of the landscape.
At the outskirts of the Chiang Rai, you will stop to visit the White Temple, a unique modern temple that was designed and built by a local artist. After the visit you will be dropped at you hotel in Chiang Rai or at the airport.
