Your journey will start on the east side of Iron Bridge, the meeting point, before the sunset.
It is always a nightmare to take night photography!
This workshop will teach how to make the most of your night cliché. Night Photography is challenging, that is for sure, but also fabulous fun! Indeed, your camera can capture photographs that your eyes will never see naturally at night.
Long streaks of light from vehicles, Ghosted images, wonderfully vivid colors and lots more.
The meeting point will be before dusk at Chiang Mai’s historic Iron Bridge where your instructor will begin to teach you how to set up your camera to capture the best photos of this beautifully lit bridge against the rich blue evening sky.
In Chiang Mai there’s approximately 7-10 minutes window of time each evening where the ambient light and the electric lights on the bridge balance and offer opportunity to create some stunning photographs. You will learn how to understand this balance and why it’s important, so you can use this technique any evening, wherever you are.
You will also learn about adding flash to your photographs to create ghosting images of traffic.
The next step of this evening will be Wararot market.
This market has many outdoor stalls which appear each evening and create a lively atmosphere. Here your instructor will teach you various techniques on how to best capture the vibe of the market at night. You will test using different shutter speeds, aperture and ISO settings.
