Feel the pulse of Kathmandu, once the sun has set on this magnificent city. All you have to do is sit back in your "Street Helicopter" (otherwise known as cycle rickshaw) and let your rider navigate past bustling backstreets and atmospheric laneways. Your first stop is Thamel, where you can window shop from your seat, and pick anything from pastries to pashminas.
Proceed on your route and pass by Asan, a vegetable and spice market, after which you'll reach Durbar Square. Here is where you'll find the must-see places, such as, age-old temples, palaces and shrines. Unload from the rickshaw and sip on some local chai, be bold and taste fiery rakshi (local brew) at one of the local stalls or taverns, or simply hang out in one of the hippie era pie shops on Freak Street. And if you tire out by this time, simply board your "helicopter" that'll take you back to Thamel.
*Pick-up and drop-off at the Himalayan Encounters, Courtyard, Kathmandu Guest House, Thamel.
Included: Rickshaw hire, English speaking guide, entrance fee to Durbar Square.
