"The early-bird catches the worm." And by that philosophy, the early risers catch the best that Nepal has to offer. Which is why your tour starts at 7am, as you make your way to the nearest bus-stand. Get aboard a local transport, that takes about 30 mins to reach your first destination, Buddanilkantha. Here's where a floating a statue of sleeping Vishnu (Hindu God of preservation) can be observed from the outside - non-Hindus aren't allowed inside this place.
Moving on, the next stop on your tour, is a 15 minutes hike to Shivapuri National Park, a forest reserve, where you'll register to gain entry to this place. Continue hiking until you reach a hidden Buddhist monastery - Nangi Gompa. This is arguably the best part of your Nepal tour as this hill presents a breathtaking birds-eye view of Kathmandu Valley.
Once you've wrapped your head around such beauty, your tour descends down a hill and through the woodlands to emerge out of the forest reserve at Sundarijal. Enjoy the sights of waterfalls and follow the pipeline to the end point of the hike at the bazaar. Once again, board the local transport leading back to Kathmandu.
