Tanjung Datu National Park is one of Sarawak’s smallest national parks and probably the most beautiful. It’s secluded beaches, clear turquoise waters and untouched rainforest, abundant flora and fauna makes this national park a haven for any nature lover.
The remoteness and seclusion of this park ensure the safety of its local residents including Sarawak’s icon, the majestic Rhinoceros Hornbill along with countless varieties of flora and fauna.
Note: The construction of the (approximately) 936 km Pan Borneo Highway (PBH) in Sarawak starts from Telok Melano, a village in the perimeter of the National Park. This development although deemed as a step towards greater 'progress' in the state, might adversely impact on this fragile eco-system and we urge all nature enthusiasts to experience this pristine park sooner rather than later to fully appreciate its wonders.
