Foray into one of the oldest cuisines in the world - Khmer - as this night-food-tour takes your through the streets of Cambodia. Hop on a moto-remork (motor-rickshaw), past the tourist areas and into the locals vicinity.
Get your foodie-fix at street markets, selling local snacks, such as yellow bean cake or Khmer rice cake. Then move onto a fruit tasting session with dragon fruit, mango, tiny pineapples, and durian (a pungent smelling fruit). Get the lowdown on certain spices and their traditional remedies and medicinal values.
This next part of the tour is for the daring food-junkies, as you stop at the local picnic spot, selling food like fried tarantulas and fried crickets. But not to worry, they have other items including barbecued meat on skewers, Khmer Fried Chicken, green mango served with chili and salt, ducks eggs, barbecued corn, and mangosteen.
Ensure you've ample space left to dig into the Cambodian restaurant for more local delicacies, where you end off with desserts such as fruit shakes, fruit with sweeten condensed milk and baked puddings.
